Dr. Latt Mansor earned his PhD in Physiology, Anatomy, and Genetics from the University of Oxford, where he conducted research on the metabolic response of the type 2 diabetic heart to hypoxia. Currently, he is serving as the research lead at H.V.M.N. and hosting its Health via Modern Nutrition podcast. He is an expert on the ketogenic diet and the use of exogenous ketones.

What you'll learn from this episode:

  • The benefits of exogenous ketone supplementation, and how studies have demonstrated improvements in cardiovascular health, cognitive function in traumatic brain injuries, and improvement in glucose levels.

  • The different types of exogenous ketones, and the pros and cons of each.

  • How taking exogenous ketones can help you transition to a low-carb or keto diet without side effects and accelerate the process of becoming keto-adapted.

  • How taking exogenous ketones can simplify the fasting process and give you the benefits of autophagy while sustaining power throughout the day since fats do not increase insulin levels.

  • The benefits of switching up your diet from time to time to introduce stress to your microbiome and create adaptation and resilience.

  • And so much more!
