Jessimae Peluso is a stand-up comedian who made her television debut on MTV's Girl Code. She is currently hosting the Sharp Tongue and Highlarious podcasts and Tattoo Redo on Netflix, and she's been using her platform to raise awareness for Alzheimer's disease since losing her father to its ravages in 2017.

What you'll learn from this episode:

  • Why cheap and easy (whether it's junk food snacks or information consumption) is such a popular path to ruin.

  • What to expect when caring for a loved one who's been diagnosed with a neurodegenerative illness.

  • Dealing with grief after losing a parent to dementia.

  • How Benjamin Franklin's axiom of "An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure" still holds true today.

  • As the child of an Alzheimer's victim, the lifestyle changes Jessimae has taken to minimize her own risk of succumbing to this terrible disease.

  • And so much more!
